Delco Plaza

York, Pennsylvania

A stellar example of a successful redevelopment of a distressed center was Delco Plaza, located at the corner of heavily traveled Route 30 and Carlisle Pike (Route 74) in York, Pennsylvania. The property with two vacant anchors was acquired by the company on July 14, 2004. The development plan provided for demolition of the existing out-dated buildings acquired at closing and construction of a new 400,000 square foot center. Construction was completed in the third quarter 2006.

The shopping center is now anchored by leading destination anchors Lowe’s Home Centers, Giant Food Stores, T.J. Maxx, Ross Dress for Less and OfficeMax and is the dominant retail center in the area. The 98% occupied property was sold in September 2006.
